ADELAIDE, Australia—The opening performance of the Divine Performing Arts (DPA) Chinese Spectacular in Adelaide received a warm welcome from the audience on April 14.

Ms. Zhu Jie, a Chinese choreographer from mainland China, said during the intermission, "The combination of art and culture is the most beautiful." Zhu continued, "I am so fortunate to watch DPA's performance in Adelaide. I'm happy that the Chinese historical and traditional culture can come so far away to Australia to be presented here. It gives us the most beautiful enjoyment and the enlightenment of arts. It is very good for all that love the arts. It shows that the combination of art and culture is the most beautiful."

Ms Zhu thought that the show frequently presented the combination of "beauty" and "goodness," which should be all people's pursuit for human nature. "If we can present all these in our daily life, we will understand the true meaning of life more and realize that our world is so beautiful. It is the theme of the Spectacular. " she said.

Zhu also commented that the show emphasizes traditional Chinese culture and represents the beauty of the Chinese culture. "It is what makes all the Chinese people feel excited. It is what I feel."

"I didn't expect to watch such a high standard Chinese show in overseas. It's really of a very high standard," said Zhu.

Ms. Lu, a student from Sichuan Province, is currently studying occupational therapy in the University of South Australia. She told the reporter, "I was really shocked! The performance really moves people's hearts."

"The show not only represents Chinese traditional culture, but also represents Chinese divine culture, which are the lofty beliefs. I was really shocked. I've never seen such a performance in China. I feel kind of ineffably moved, especially when I watched 'The Risen Lotus Flower.' I still feel touched now. The program shows the indomitable spirit towards belief. Nowadays, probably only Falun Gong practitioners have [that spirit] in China," said Lu.

Lu also commented, "The performance is very professional. I've watched many shows, including the Spring Festival Gala in China, but no matter either the professionalism or the inner meaning of the show, they cannot compare with the Chinese Spectacular. "
