Son of Red Army Veteran Persuades People to Quit CCP Organizations

Mr. Liu, a human rights activist from Shandong who has been living under the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) suppression for over 30 years, recently talked 50 people into quitting the CCP and its affiliated organizations. "The CCP is inhumane, fascist, and its brutal means of torture have surpassed Hitler's," said Liu.

Liu talked about his father, "My father was a veteran of the CCP's Red Army and a hero who fought in the war against Japan. Most of his family died in that war. After the CCP took over, my father criticized the CCP and quit the CCP to express his dissatisfaction; because of that he died under the CCP's brutal persecution."

"I was young and didn't know what 'crimes' my father had committed. (I had to pay for my father's 'crime') and the CCP put me in a condemned cell when I was 16. Not only did they torture me, they tied me up and put me on display to humiliate me in public. When they killed, they had me watch the execution process."

"Because of my father, I lived a life that was worse than death. The CCP killed my father and we, being his offspring, are forced to continue suffering. We are treated unfairly in every way. We have no guarantee for basic living. I have not had a stable job and income for most of my life. I had to work odd jobs as a bricklayer, mud mixer, cart pusher, and brick mover, to survive."

"To call for redress for my father and stop this life-long persecution and unfair treatment against me, I started to appeal. However, the local government officials are gangsters. There was nothing I could do."

"During this year's annual sessions of the National People's Congress and the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, I saw people jammed in front of the two appeal offices. The plain cloth police and special agents openly beat and arrested the appealers. Appealers in China are the lowest and most miserable level."

"On March 6, 2008, I walked on Tiananmen Square and the police arrested me and detained me for 59 hours. The local government officials threatened to take legal action against me if I appealed again."

"I am currently being kept under surveillance every second. They follow me everywhere. My phone is very likely tapped. The police threatened me saying that those who do anything to damage the Olympics will be severely punished."

When Liu talked about the quitting CCP movement, he said, "People are smart and they clearly understand what the CCP did in the past. The CCP is a Fascist party, or worse." Liu quit the CCP for his father and persuaded 50 of his friends to quit also. He said, "We totally understand what it means to quit the party. We will continue to push the movement forward."
