CANBERRA, Australia―Although Marnie Cowan didn't know what to expect, she came to the Chinese Spectacular at the Canberra Theatre with her granddaughter on April 12 and found it to be "fantastic".
Some elements of the show surprised her. "I didn't know they used fans and things like that. It was beautiful―oh yeah—just fantastic!"
Marnie's granddaughter agreed and said she would tell her friends because "it was really good, colourful, interesting."
Even though she doesn't study Chinese culture in school, Marnie's granddaughter says she "would be interested in doing so in the future."
Of Polish ancestry, Cowan said: "I'm interested in a lot of different cultures, you know, and I think this is something different from our culture, don't you think? It was very nice, and the people are very nice, aren't they?"
Her granddaughter added that the performers were genuine. "I just feel it's very relaxing, very peaceful. I feel very happy, a very warm message."
