CANBERRA, Australia―Seeing the show for the second year, Glenice West raved, "Absolutely brilliant, isn't it?" after attending the Chinese Spectacular at the Canberra Theatre Saturday April 12.

Court reporter Anne Hain chimed in, "They [dancers] were so strong and elegant. I wouldn't arm wrestle the smallest of those girls out there."

Understanding today's Chinese culture was not a problem for either. Ms Hain said: "It doesn't matter which culture you are, we all need to have a good look at everything that's going on around the world. We all need to slow down and think about somebody else for once." Caring for others was an important message.

"I think we should all take a good look at ourselves, everywhere, and everything we're losing, which is contact, basic humanity. We're all too busy to care. It's great, we should never lose culture; it's our wisdom," she said.

It deeply moved Ms West. "When I was watching it, the tears came to my eyes because I thought this was what life should be about. It brought me back to the whole meaning of life. That's what I thought. The sadness, the passion, Falun Gong. It's not just Falun Gong, it's not just people in China. There are so many regimes around the world that people suffer, and we forget it, don't we?" she said.

"So I think it's wonderful that Chinese people not living within the regime in China can bring this. There's no Chinese government propaganda, which I think is wonderful. I don't know, maybe people who come here already understand that China has an enormous long culture. An enormously long history," said Ms Hain.
