CANBERRA, Australia—Peter Walldrop and Noeleen Att, both retired, came to see the matinee session of the Chinese Spectacular at the Canberra Theatre on Saturday April 12, 2008 and said it was wonderful.
"Oh, it was great. Wonderful, wonderful. Nice singing, dancing, lovely costumes, nice music. Everything was good," said Mr Walldrop.
When asked what he most liked about the show, he said: "I think all the ladies and the dancing … you know, the choreography, the music — it all comes together really wonderfully."
Ms Att added that she agreed with Peter. "Absolutely. [This is] the first time I've been to a Chinese show and I'm so pleased that I came. Peter is the one that recommended me to come and I'm very grateful to him. It was lovely, really lovely. Thank you."
Mr Walldrop's favourite performance was the drums. "The last bit I think I like. The drums! The drums! ['Victory Drums'] … I love it! I like it all, every bit of it, but I like this last bit."
He continued: "Oh, I think it's the noise and it's a little bit exciting, the drums."
Mr Walldrop also mentioned that he loves Chinese culture and the Chinese women. "I think they're the prettiest girls I know. They have a lovely nature, they're very friendly and just … Chinese culture is wonderful. It's the ancient culture, isn't it? It's lovely. It's one of the oldest cultures in the world, one of the most graceful."
