TAMPERE, Finland—Helena Laine was not sure what to expect when she bought her ticket for the Chinese Spectacular in Tampere on Monday.

"I was expecting pretty girls dancing in pretty dresses. The stories were amazing and interesting and very deep," she said.

"I liked it very much."

"I am not very enlightened with Chinese legends, and now I think I have some ideas about them." She said the legends "enlightened me very much."

She said she thought the show was about basic, simple human kindness and respecting nature.

"The dancers were telling these stories … it all kind of shines through, the simple beauty of it all."

"It is beautiful and inspiring, and pretty much everyone should consider to look."

She said it was a "great pity" the Chinese embassies try to interfere with the show as it travels around the world.
