VIENNA, Austria—Harry, a businessman in Vienna, did not give his last name. Originally from a small Austrian village, he works in a very pragmatic world. He owns a company that handles IT outsourcing and software development. Yet his response to the March 6 Chinese Spectacular show at Vienna's Stadthalle Wein conveyed a poetic sensibility.

“Sometimes it feels like dolls are dancing," he said. "Yes, it's really like in a fairy tale; and as I said to my wife, Christina, before, when I came from my job … and was a little bit tired, and I was watching this [show] … I just felt better. I just felt I'm in a good mood suddenly. You don't know why. I guess it's because of the music, because of the spiritual feeling behind. Yeah, it's really good.”

Harry’s friend, Fiefer, originally from Sweden, said she felt freedom and openness in the performance. She said she liked the Tibetan dance best for reasons “I can't explain.”

Harry said the Chinese Spectacular “feels exotic, you can say. It's another kind of culture. You can feel it's far away from our culture, but very interesting."
