VIENNA, Austria-The performance of the Chinese Spectacular in Vienna offered Christine Watson a view of traditional Chinese culture.

"I think the show was actually fabulous. It was a really nice experience. Very well made," said Watson.

While she found all the performances enjoyable, Watson said she really liked the "story from Tibet with the white scarves [Snowy Mountain, White Lotus]."

"Also, the story from the prison where the woman got killed and went up—that was really, really touching because you know that's the truth, what happened," Watson said, referring to one of the performances showing Falun Gong practitioners being persecuted.

"I think it was because somebody stood up for somebody else and got killed because of that…you have this kind of emotion when you see that people stand up for somebody else without thinking about their own life or thoughts."

Watson said the show offered both entertainment and a "right message".

"The message for me was the freedom of all you experience, what you have- you can show what you want here. You cannot show in China and that's the sad thing because of the culture that is still there."

After Friday's show in Vienna, the Spectacular will play in Bratislava on Sunday, carrying on to Prague for more shows next week. A total of 35 shows will be seen in 14 European countries.
