VIENNA, Austria-"I felt very well after the first part, it really did me some good", Thomas Stiegner said about the Chinese Spectacular. Stiegner is one of three chefs at a firm called Copaloca Catering. He is responsible for finances, special sales and customer service and visited the show in Vienna's Town Hall on Friday.

Although he was not very stressed in the first place, the show made him feel calm inside, he said, and then added: "I noticed that something was going on, hearts were opening up, it was all very obvious."

He especially enjoyed the piece called 'Risen Lotus Flower' in which two imprisoned female Falun Gong practitioners share a vision after another lady is tortured to death. He could feel how the show acquired an inner depth. In addition, he thought the piece was very meaningful spiritually.

Spirituality is one way through which he is able to access Chinese culture, said Stiegner, who describes himself as being fascinated by Far Eastern monasteries. He is going on a retreat to a monastery for a week this coming Monday -- where he will be able to contemplate the show as well as the three virtues Truth, Compassion and Tolerance.

As the caterer for the show, he also appreciated the contact with the artists, in addition to the inner values. "It was really special to work with the show's artists, I could feel their warm hearts at our first contact and up to today," said Stiegner.

After today's show in Vienna, the Spectacular will play in Bratislava on Sunday, carrying on to Prague for more shows next week. A total of 35 shows will be seen in 14 European countries.
