KAOSHIUNG, Taiwan—Mr. Zuo Qixian, owner of Amiao Enterprise, a sponsor of the Divine Performing Arts Chinese Spectacular , watched the show's premiere in Kaohsiung on March 4.
Zuo was impressed by the Spectacular's portrayal of ancient Chinese culture and traditions.
"Chinese culture has lasted for more than 5,000 years. The history and geography we read in the past were all put together in today's show. It makes us ponder whether there are other objects worth pursuing in our life other than materiality, or whether we can provide more contribution to our society," he said during the intermission.
Of the programs covered in the first half of the show, Zuo was particularly impressed by Lady of the Moon and Drummers of the Tang Court . He said the former depicted the mildness of the female and the latter demonstrated the strength of the male, making an excellent combination. Zuo also commented on the state of the art high tech backdrops.
"The backdrop was full of variety. When accompanied by and integrated with the music, it became shockingly vibrant. It touched the inner world of the audience. I think everyone shares the same feeling I do. I was thrilled by it. We seldom have the opportunity to touch these in our daily life. The show deeply touched my heart and leads us to think what we should do in the future."
Speaking again after the show was over, Zuo said the props used in the Spectacular should be preserved for the future. "The show has wonderfully presented Chinese culture, especially the Tang Dynasty. The decorations and appliances used in the show are so beautiful. They should be carefully preserved so that the glory can be passed down for further enhancement in the future."
"These pieces of cultural delicacy are very precious for human beings. If they are not properly preserved, how can we know where we come from?"
Amiao Enterprise sells fresh water from the Beidawu Mountains in Pingdong County. Zuo said he felt grateful for the opportunity to sponsor the Spectacular . He also thanked the Epoch Times, the performers and the staff who organized the show.
