GENEVA—The first show of the Divine Performing Arts Chinese Spectacular in Geneva on Monday attracted people from all walks of life. Among the many who were deeply impressed by the classical Chinese dance and music were the vice-president of a bank and his wife, a Swiss film maker, and the ambassador of Paraguay to Switzerland.
Jacques Rochat, the vice-president of a Swiss bank, told the Epoch Times "I liked the two programs about Falun Gong ('The Risen Lotus Flower' and 'The Power of Awareness') most. They allowed me to understand what's actually happening in China. That shouldn't be happening. I can personally sense the suffering of Falun Gong followers in China. I think it is the time for China's dictator to change it. It is not right to persecute those Falun Gong practitioners who follow the principles of Truth, Compassion, and Tolerance—it is not right."
Mrs. Rochat added that "I really enjoyed the show. Its colors and every program was so very well done. I liked every program."
Jean Roke Patoudem, a Swiss filmmaker said, "The programs are splendid. The set up of the stage is beautiful. I really liked the strength the dancers exhibited." He admired the female dancers for being "graceful and coquettish."
"For each of us, it is very important to understand the culture and music of different countries since it links us together." Patoudem particularly liked the performance of the little girl in 'The Power of Awareness.' "She grasped the heart of the audience, and it made it easy to pass the message to us."

The ambassador of Paraguay praised the Spectacular saying, "It was so wonderful. It is the best representative of Chinese culture, music, and dance. It was a visual banquet."
He also praised the songs in the show. He said he thought the music and the scenes were perfectly matched.
