MELBOURNE, Australia—Standing at the gate of Melbourne's prestigious Art Centre, Chinese businessman Mr. Wu still had tears in his eyes after watching the final performance of the Chinese Spectacular .
"If more Chinese people can watch this show, they will understand themselves more and know what they need in terms of spirituality. And they will understand China more," he said.
"If we appreciate the show from an artistic perspective, it is endless. If we appreciate the show from another perspective, we may reflect how people live in China. "Chinese people are misled by the propaganda. They disregard the aspect of Falun Gong's cultivation of justice. I think Falun Gong is a part of Chinese Buddhist culture. They tolerate people with different habits and use this way to guide people to be good.
"Today's show, to me, is the beginning of me opening up my mind. That is to say, I immediately see the difference between how Chinese people in Mainland China are and how overseas Chinese are.
"Many people in China are very afraid of talking about Falun Gong. But they don't need to fear it when they come out abroad. Face it and learn about it," he said, his voice shaking with emotion.
So eager to share his revelation, Mr. Wu made phone calls to many of his friends during the brief 15-minute intermission, urging them "not to miss such a good show". He expressed his gratitude for having the opportunity to see the Chinese Spectacular, and his regret that he was not able to see it sooner.
"I am lucky I didn't miss today's show. It is a loss if you miss this show! Whether you accept the truth or not, you will know it once you watch this show," he said.
