MELBOURNE, Australia—Retired IT professional Graham Hanson from Melbourne loved all aspects of the Chinese Spectacular, including the backdrops.
"Lovely, wonderful, lovely music, costumes, movement, terrific music, really enjoying it," he said.
Mr Hanson thought that the music was "wonderful" and thoroughly enjoyed listening to it - so much that it left him intrigued, as if the orchestra was hidden from view somewhere.
His appreciation of the show was enhanced by his knowledge of martial arts. "I have done tai chi and karate and the agility and the movements of the performers is wonderful. I am really enjoying it."
When asked what stood out as a favourite performance in the show, he said: "I like the drums that I just saw, but all of it is really good at the moment."
While the visual and sensory aspects of the show were fresh in his mind and relatively easy to describe, Mr Graham said that when it comes to the deeper, spiritual aspects he needed to "reflect on those later on".
"Lovely performance, really terrific, really impressive and thought-provoking. And very delighted that so far I have seen what I have seen."
