LONDON—A lottery winner will lose a 6.9 million pound jackpot unless the prize is claimed by the end of the working day on Wednesday, the National Lottery said.
The winning EuroMillions ticket—with the numbers 22, 30, 34, 35, 44 and the Lucky Star numbers 4 and 5—was bought in Devon on September 28 last year.
The 180-day deadline to claim the jackpot expires at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The ticket-holder should ring the lottery hotline on 0845 910 0000.
Lottery organisers urged people to check their coat pockets and down the back of the sofa for old tickets.
"If it's not claimed, then the prize and the interest that it has accrued over the 180-day period will go to good causes," a Lottery spokeswoman said.
