STOCKHOLM, Sweden —Audience members at Stockholm's premiere of the Chinese Spectacular at the Circus Theatre on Thursday evening said they were impressed by the unique cultural show.

Peter Bjornsjo, who owns his own business and studies at the Royal Academy, commented on the show during the intermission.

"So far I think it is really good. I like it. I liked the dancing parts and music. I have worked with Chinese companies and I have been to China before, twice."

Regarding efforts by the Chinese Embassy to stop the Spectacular, Bjornsjo said China must remember that Sweden is a free country.

"Sweden is a free country and China should be as well. That is very bad because they should be able to perform wherever they want to."

Oscar Lindstrom works in navigation and operations for an airline in Sweden. He was also at Circus Theatre on Thursday.

He found the show was not as structured compared with European performances he is used to seeing.

"The dancers are more floating over the floor," he said. "So I think it is a very good contrast to what we are used to seeing in Western Europe and all Europe."

Lindstrom said he has seen performances from all over Asia, including Thailand. He was impressed by the movements of the dancers.

"The hand movements so it's very, it's really nice. Really good," he said, adding that Victory Drums was his favorite piece.

"The drum part was very nice. The connection between the forces of one drum and all together….I liked it very much it was a very strong piece. I mean they connected both the music, the movement, and the sound. So I think that was good."
