TAINAN—Ms. Feng Huijuan, a teacher of folk dance who serves as the CEO of New Classical Artistic Dance from Taidong County in Taiwan, was moved to tears after watching the Divine Performing Arts show in Tainan, on March 1.
Ms. Feng said: "The Divine Performing Arts company truly touched me. Not only I was moved to tears, I truly wanted to cry. One after another, historical stories were truthfully presented to me, which I knew could not be found on any other occasion.
"The dancers all have good skills. They seemed to have very high level of inner energy that moves people. Watching Shenyun stretched my imagination far and beyond."
She felt that although Taiwan has five thousand years of Chinese culture and knows of all the histories, they have not done enough to promote or publicize traditional arts.
Ms. Feng said that Divine Performing Arts transformed them and told good and touching stories. "I felt some things profound in them that defy my ability to describe.
"The backdrop of the show was like real scene. Dancers' movements were very elegant and precise; I could see that they had gone through very hard and strict training. These are all important qualities of a good dancer."
Feng did not attend the World Tournament of Chinese Dances sponsored by New Tang Dynasty TV last year because she was too busy. She felt very regretful when her classmates told her their experience of participating in the competition. She felt that it would have been a precious experience and wishes to go in the future.
