PARIS—After seeing the Divine performing Arts Chinese Spectacular on March 1 at the Palais des Congrès in Paris, Raymond Waïs, a retired administrative worker from Paris, had nothing but praise for the show.
"Magnificent—the Spectacular is magnificent. The costumes are sensational and every part of it is good. The Spectacular shows a long history. It's elegant. What can I say?" said Wais.
"It's sensational; it's magnificent; it's splendid; it's something superb!"
Wais said China's ancient history was successfully portrayed in the show.
"One can feel that the Spectacular contains elements of China's 5,000 year old history. One can feel it. When the images are passing by, one can feel it."
But he was most impressed by the orchestra.
"And the orchestra! You could have the impression that it's something recorded, while in reality it's live. It's magnificent and moreover the orchestra is in total harmony with the Spectacular. It's the orchestra that gives harmony to the Spectacular."
After Paris, the Divine Performing Arts tour will continue on to Switzerland, Austria, Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
