PARIS—Marc François, a tradesman from Paris, was so moved by the artistry he witnessed at the Chinese Spectacular on Saturday, that he couldn't help shedding tears.
"I found it to be very emotional, lots of emotions. I cried three times. I think it's magnificent; the music is perfect; it really represents the Chinese culture. My wife is Chinese and she thinks it's really good. She loves the Spectacular. "
Mr. François's wife Yong May, concurred: "It's magnificent!"
Expounding on his thoughts of the Spectacular, Mr. François said "The costumes are really very beautiful. The projections as well. You see—it's really in harmony. It really represents China."
Since Mr. François is married to a Chinese woman, he is familiar with Chinese culture, customs, and current events. He said "It's true that the Spectacular doesn't contain any communist culture at all. One can feel that the Spectacular represents the real Chinese culture, and it also sends a message regarding the Falun Gong practitioners who are persecuted in China."
