TAIPEI, Taiwan—The Divine Performing Arts final performance of the Chinese Spectacular in Taipei played to a full house Tuesday evening. Despite the rain, over 3,000 people traveled to the Taipei International Convention Center to see the cultural show.
Among the audience was Rock Hsu, Chairman of the famous Kinpo Group. Hsu is also a former senior national policy adviser to the president, a senior advisor to the premier, and the Chairman of the Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Industry Association.
"All performers are fully dedicated. Their postures and movements fully demonstrate their high-level dancing skills," said Hsu during the intermission.
"Their facial expressions and the masculinity of the male performers are splendid. The fairies played by female dancers really remind me of those in heaven. It's excellent."
Hsu praised the qualities of the various performances in the show.
"I can see their great efforts. Water Sleeves, the fans in Lightness and Grace and the waves in Nymphs of the Sea performed by the female dancers make people feel very relaxed, very comfortable and joyous."
"I was also truly amazed by the male performers in 'Drummers of the Tang Court.' It is very powerful and very masculine." Hsu said, "I am usually very busy, so I rarely have the opportunity to attend events like this. My friend told me that the Chinese Spectacular is magnificent, so I came here with my wife today."
"It turned out to be very good, very good."
Hsu is currently Chairman of over 30 companies. The Kinpo Group includes Compal, Kinpo, Compal Communication, Cal-Comp, ACBEL, VIBO, and TPO, spanning business sectors which include OEM PC components, notebook computers, and mobile phones.
His companies also control a large portion of the telecommunication industry including telecom operations, VIBO and WiMax in Taiwan.
