Divine Performing Arts held its premiere in Taipei at the Taipei International Convention Center in the afternoon of March 15. Former major of Taipei and Chinese Taipei Olympic Committee Honorary Chairman Huang Ta-chou said that it was very touching to see the roots of their culture revealed through different dances.

Mr. Huang said, "I am very busy, but I am glad to find time to attend this performance by Divine Performing Arts. I feel that the level of artistic creation of the entire show is very high. The movements reveal natural harmony and gentle beauty."

He also said, "The stage design is very natural unlike the ostentatious approach at the present time. The costumes are beautiful. They are very good."

Huang's favorite scene is the "Victory Drums." He said, "Every culture has its soft, beautiful nature as well as its powerful nature. The expression of liveliness inspires people. The battle drums in the Chinese Spectacular truly bring out the liveliness of a culture."

Huang said, "Culture is passed on from generation to generation. In our tradition, the glorious 5,000-year Chinese culture is very long, very deep, and very broad. It is the source of our history. Divine Performing Arts reveals it through different dances. It is very touching."
