The array of shows at the festival brought styles covering the spectrum from chic established designers to the most innovative new fashion artists in Australia.
There was a new venue for the LMFF at the Peninsula Central Pier, Docklands, designed to be the home of fashion in Australia's most fashionable city. One of the ongoing events was the Pop Up show scattered throughout Melbourne, unexpectedly "popping up" as a surprise to visitors.
Other shows were the L'Oréal Paris Runway, the Runway Deluxe, the Independent Runway, Target Rocks Red Market, and the Fashion Collection, which was at the Prahan Town Hall.
The festival sponsors ranged from the Australian wool industry's Merino Innovation to the car company Mini of Australia.
The ever popular Marie Claire and L'Oréal Beauty Workshops also returned this year.
