BERLIN—As the Chinese Spectacular played its final show in Berlin on Sunday before moving on to Hamburg, audience members continued to heap praise on the cultural show.

Joachim Krueger, Regional City Council Member for the District of Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf, said he enjoyed the show's colorful sets and original music, which he felt can have the effect of positively influencing people's basic human instincts.

To Krueger, the show's aim appeared to be to "bring people close to peace, the absence of violence, and urge them to contemplate, and to encourage all to use our brains instead of brawn to settle differences."

He said he felt that these were important aspects for both Chinese and western cultures.

"The show is beautiful, colorful and portrays an interesting culture, filled with good thoughts, and the music comes across quite well."

The councilor said he was particularly impressed by Drummers of the Tang Court, adding that Chinese culture had so far been an unknown area for him so he was glad to have had the opportunity to become acquainted with it and to learn something new.

His wife praised the 'Spectacular' as well, saying the dances were "elegant and regal" and that the ballet was "outstanding. I found everything so colorful, one leaves with positive thoughts."
