BERLIN—"One is fascinated with the colors and the powerful feeling emanating from this show," said track and field athlete Ms. Inses Geipel. She was impressed by the Chinese Spectacular show at the ICC Berlin.

Soprano Jiang Min was her favorite, shared the former GDR sportswoman who works as a writer. She said, "The clear announcement before each scene, telling about the intent of the program and why it is in Europe, was absolutely great."

About today's China, she said, "I think that the show brings out clearly that the present regime attempts to destroy Chinese traditions. The entire show is built on spiritual or transcendental issues, which she clearly recognizes, but which have been pushed under the table in China. This show clearly attempts to bring back to life Chinese culture." She thinks that "it will take certainly time to bring traditions back to life, and especially that people will listen and internalize them. This is something clearly shown by the show."

She felt the connection between harmony and strength, which is inherent in the Chinese dance system. This is what she found most impressive. Her favorite scenes had this quality, she said, including "naturally the drums." Through these one could feel the power the most.

She said she would remember "Naturally the body movements, which are most fascinating to us Europeans. The harmony, the colors, the clearness that is inherent in this shows great strength."
