BERLIN—Construction engineer Jen Neugebauer and wife Marianne, a governess, came to see the Chinese Spectacular at the The International Congress Centrum Berlin (ICC Berlin).

He had seen a number of other Chinese performances. Mr. Neugebauer said, "The cooperation between the dancers and the control of the body was absolutely wonderful. And the harmony between the dancers and the music was something exceptional."

He added, "I generally find Chinese music hard to digest, but this mixture of Western and Eastern music was very successfully done." He said, "During China's Cultural Revolution such cultural performances were banned. Now, I see that the ancient culture is being revived."

He praised Chinese culture, saying "It is a pure culture and absolutely not political. The show sends a message, no doubt about it. But, the message is more about moral principles, such as peace and truthfulness."
