BERLIN—On the evening of March 14, Carla Geerdes and her husband attended the first Divine Performing Arts Chinese Spectacular performance in Berlin.

Geerdes said she decided to buy the tickets after her friend from India called her with a strong recommendation: "You should go to Shen Yun Gala! It is a pity for me, there is no Shen Yun show in India. But the Shen Yun tour is now in Berlin. You should not miss it!"

Geerdes said she was very happy she received her friend's call. "This show is very professional, very entertaining, very beautiful!" she said. "Every movement is so harmonic. I can feel the inner harmony."

She also expressed admiration for the music, colors and costumes. "This show is a wonderful combination of traditional essence and modern stage technique," said Geerdes as she returned to her seat for the second half of the show.

Geerdes is the editor of the Berlin-based online magazine www.herenow4u.de. She has has practiced meditation since the age of eight and teaches the practice as well. She was given the name 'Karunna' in India, which means 'Compassion', one of the core principles conveyed in the Chinese Spectacular.
