PRAGUE—Audiences attending the second Divine Performing Arts Chinese Spectacular show in Prague gave a standing ovation to a display of traditional Chinese culture.

Among the audience at Tuesday's matinee performance of the Spectacular was Mr. Hejduk, an economist who worked as a diplomat in China in 1966.

He said: "I liked it very much. The dancers were of the top class. I was in China forty years ago during the Cultural Revolution.

"I cried when I saw how the Mao Zedong's guards ware destroying all the Chinese historical heritage.

"China has a great history and the whole world has learned from it."

Audience member Jana Kramarova, a professional dancer, said she was inspired by the show's display of traditional Chinese culture. "The show really inspired me. I am myself professional dancer," she said.

"I was amazed by the costumes. Even though they were simple they very nicely distinguished the female figure."

She added, "I also liked the choreography. The stories were understandable. The performers danced as one body ... They looked harmonious with nice expression in their faces."
