PRAGUE, Czech Republic—A bank accountant and his partner said that they both enjoyed the Chinese Spectacular.
Vladimir Skrbek and Jana Kalivodova, who works in prisons, both came to see Tuesday's matinee show in the Prague Congress Centre, Czech Republic.
Mr Skrbek said that his favourite performance was The Nymphs of the Sea and that he loved the costumes in the show.
Ms Kalivodova said that her favourite was a performance called The Fruits of Goodness. She explained: "I like the one about those punks and how they were changed. That was very nice."
She added that she loved the costumes in the show. "They were shining and pretty," she said. "And also the dances. They were graceful and nice."
The show aims to show traditional Chinese culture in absence of the Communist Party in the Chinese Embassy in Prague had written to a Czech TV station to persuade unsucessfully reporters not to come and see the show.
Ms Kalivodova said that, considering the show's beauty, show couldn't understand why there was the opposition. "They (China) should be proud," she said. "They are presented in such a way."
