PRAGUE—After being amazed at the Chinese Spectacular's opening night in Prague, locals expressed their dismay that the Chinese communist regime tried to stop such a show.
Renata Jurackova, a Hungarian-Czech translator, found the show to be both interesting and very entertaining.
"Now I am interested in reading more about Chinese culture and traditions."
"I think anyone who doesn't know very much about Chinese culture—it gives one the possibility to know more and to see more. It was very nice and I liked it. "
She said the show was, "Very, very nice. I've seen it for the first time, and my daughter and I both liked it."
Renata, a fan of dance, found the Chinese classical dance featured in the Spectacular to be professional and very well done.
She said, "I will tell my friends about it at work tomorrow."
Discussing the Chinese consulate's interference with the show, Renata said, "It's unprofessional to [try to] stop it. I cannot understand why."

Zuzana Volfova, a financial accountant in Prague agreed, saying the interference was "horrible" and that she hoped the CCP agents would open their minds and seek truthful information about the show.
Of the performance, Zuzana said, "It was amazing." Referring to the water sleeve dance she said, "I liked the women dancing with the long sleeves, it was beautiful." She also expressed being very impressed with the Mongolian tea cup dance.
Czech citizens, having lived in a former communist nation, have a deep understanding of the hardships people face under such regimes.
In no uncertain terms, Zuzana expressed her hope that China would one day be free.
"I hope they can [hold] this performance in China someday."
Zuzana said that it is because when they do, China "won't be communist anymore."
