GENEVA—The Divine Performing Arts had its début at the Theatre du Léman in Geneva, Switzerland on March 3. Ms. Clodilde de Bourguerey-Harari, a retired physician with a noble birth in French now living in Geneva, and two of her friends told Epoch Times reporters about their impressions of the Chinese Spectacular.

Ms. Clodilde de Bourguerey-Harari said: "I was deeply moved. Chinese people have found their traditional culture when they find that the communist regime cannot work in the country. This is not a simple restoration of the China's past. The show is breathtaking. It is so refreshing, almost pure, and very touching. This pureness and freshness gave people a feel of simplicity, as if the tradition has never been interrupted. It is a deeply moving artistry."

Her friend Florence Clavier, a British Airways regional manager in Switzerland, could not wait for her turn to speak: "I felt this show is just wonderful. It is imbued with purity. The dancing movement was so adroit and nimble, yet powerful. I got a feeling of returning to the true culture. Those girls looked to me like butterflies moving around and dancing. It is a miracle. You see a lot of pink and bright green colors in the show. It is like the birth of a new life, full of the vigor and joy of life."

Ms. Clodilde de Bourguerey-Harari said: "To Western audiences, the elegance and flavor of the show are very different from that of Western ballet. The elegance of classical dance in the ballet is now displaced by some dynamics and strangeness. The dances presented here are all very classical. There is nothing exotic. They have wonderful composition and creativity. The elegance and charm are displayed in every program. This is a completely different type of art."

"I can tell every movement of the performers is for giving, this is so wonderful. I feel their devotion and effort in the work, which are all from the bottom of their hearts," Florence Clavier added.

'Chinese Spectacular is a real introduction to China'

Ms. Clodilde de Bourgueney-Harari recommended to the reporters her friend Pascale Banon, an expert specializing in cultural exchange. Ms. Banon commented: "Music, dance and songs are universal languages understood by all. This show is very entertaining, but behind that, it is conveying messages. It is truly great to deliver the messages so well through the gestures and movements in the dance.

"The show gets a promising message across: thorough condemnation of the communist regime that has destroyed traditional art, and the true restoration of the art. This is a message bringing hope to all humankind, and it is a renaissance of true art"

"This way of expression may be somewhat different from that of one thousand years ago, but we are aware of the existence of this culture and we know it will continue to be preserved. What we saw before are snippets, but today's show gave us a complete picture, and this is a real introduction to China; it can be said to be the calling card of China."
