VIENNA, Austria—“I like very, very much what I saw,” said Alexander Wunsch about the Divine Performing Arts Chinese Spectacular show on the second and last night at the Stadthalle. “Especially the softness of the movement, the control of movement, the colors, the dynamics…”
Mr. Wunsch, an alternative medicine practitioner who works with light and color, went on to say, “For me it’s interesting because I did not have any contact with Chinese culture until now; and I think it’s especially a translation of the texts telling of historical tales, or myth, giving me deeper insight because up to now China was just far away and [the show] brings us much closer. So, it’s a much deeper experience.”
When asked how he found out about the show, Mr. Wunsch said, “I happened to be here for a light symposium. My host asked me if I would like to go to this show.”
“So, I read a little bit about it in a magazine in the hotel room, but I came without any expectations,” he added, “just by fortune.”
His wife, Doris, who teaches the Alexander Technique in bodywork, also enjoyed the performance. “I like it very much—the colors, the dances, and the beauty of the dances. The clothes are very, very beautiful,” she said.
