PARIS—The grand Palais des Congrès in Paris was filled to capacity for the Divine Performing Arts presentation of the Chinese Spectacular on Saturday.

As the show closed, enthusiastic applause brought the performers back for three curtain calls.

There were many among the audience who had seen last year's show and Sam Lebhar, a lawyer with a well-known French law firm, was one of them.

"I like this show very much. I like Chinese culture, especially ancient Chinese culture and ancient Chinese music. That is why I came to watch the show by Divine Performing Arts again," said Mr. Lebahr.

"I like all of them. I can't say which one I like better. I think all of them are good. The colors, costumes, dances, music, and songs — all of them are my favorites."

In comparing Chinese and western arts, Mr. Lebhar said, "They are two forms of arts in sharp contrast. It's hard for me to explain them clearly. But as far as the performances by Divine Performing Arts are concerned, I can be generous with praise. I like them so much, they are so beautiful"
