NEW YORK—Ms. Zhao Yalan immigrated to the United States 8 years ago. She watched the Chinese New Year Splendor with her husband on Feb. 3. She said the performance was so good that she shed tears. She wanted to watch it again.

"I only heard from people that say the Tang Dynasty was very prosperous, but this time, I really saw the goodness of Tang! It's really great! I shed tears," said Ms. Zhao.

Zhao said that she never saw such performances in China. "It was the first time I watched the real traditional Chinese culture such as Creation, Water Sleeves. They gave me the feelings of pure compassion and pure beauty. No struggle and fighting."

She continued, "Drummers of the Tang Court played in a manly and masculine spirit. It was totally different from the drummers wearing plain clothes with a red belt I saw in China. It is completely different. The feelings were different. This one is vigorous and mighty."

When asked how she knew the show, she said, "I watch NTDTV every day for many years, because it interprets the history justly and objectively. I think common people in mainland are deceived by the communist for many things.

"For example, the history of China and Japan war during World War II, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) said it fought against the Japanese for 8 years and defeated it with basic supplies of millet and rifles. Now I know it is completely lies. So many people were sacrificed and so much blood was shed for the battle. How difficult it was to defeat the Japanese! How could the CCP defeat them only through millet and rifles?" Ms. Zhao said as a Christian she believes the words of the songs talking about God's coming to the world to save people. She believes retribution and the CCP could not last long.

The Chinese New Year Splendor continues in New York through Saturday, Feb. 9. For other shows in the Divine Performing Arts world tour, please visit: http://www.divineperformingarts.com/
