TAINAN, Taiwan—Huang Xueli, the wife of the CEO of the Tongyu Automotive Co. in Tainan City is a performing arts lover who has traveled around the world to experience different cultures.

After watching the Divine Performing Arts Chinese Spectacular in Seoul on February 29, she said the cultural show was unlike anything she had seen before and thought the performances "must be from Heaven."

"How can something be so beautiful? I really, really loved it. I was completely drawn into the scene. It feels so gentle. It's not like anything of this ordinary world. The sets and the stage… I've never seen something this beautiful—it's like from another world," said Huang during the intermission.

Huang mentioned that she had been long interested in Buddhism, elements of which are portrayed in the Spectacular, though it was her Christian friends who recommended she attend the show.

She couldn't help wondering why the show was so moving.

"Is it because of the teachings of Falun Gong? Ordinary people can never achieve something like this."

Huang was referring to two acts in the Spectacular that depict the nine-year persecution of Falun Gong in China. With its principles of Truth, Compassion and Tolerance, Falun Gong, a meditation practice, is rooted in ancient Chinese culture.

Before returning to her seat for the second half of the show, she mentioned that she had seen many performances from Mainland China.

"Those performances are showy and shallow. They are tasteless, and aimed to induce lust."

She added that she was deeply touched by the perfection and purity of the Spectacular.

"It's not polluted at all. It's like nothing else."
