ANTWERP, Belgium-Local Antwerp television station, Antwerp TeleVision (ATV), broadcast a report on the Divine Performing Arts Chinese Spectacular for their regional news. Following is their transcript.

ATV News (regional Antwerp TeleVision), Wednesday 27th February:

Over the next two days a group of New York based artists will bring China's age old culture back to life at the Antwerp City Theatre.

The Chinese Spectacular is touted by the company as being the best and most authentic Chinese show in the world, with a mission to bring audiences around the world the true spirit of China's 5000 year old civilization without any influence from the Chinese communist party.

Cecilia Xiong, one of the dancers, used to live in Belgium. She remarked, "It's not just about those beautiful colors and those fantastic movements, but also the spirit behind it."

"Chinese culture is a very religious culture and people have always believed in heaven and god," she said.

"People always knew the importance of being a good person, being kind, following a high moral standard. And all these things, we also show them in our dancing and our singing."

Many of the performers in Chinese Spectacular, while originally from Mainland China, currently live in the United States.

ATV News stopped a couple of audience member to get their feedback on the Chinese Spectacular:

Audience member number one said, "In fact, it is a different world. It is much more refined than our culture. It is truly very beautiful."

Audience member number two said, "The Chinese culture really came through. Also the religion, the peacefulness, Buddhism, that's what moved me in the show."
