ANTWERP, Belgium—The Divine Performing Arts Chinese Spectacular concluded its Belgium performances Wednesday evening, receiving generous praise for its authenticity.
Danny, a police officer who only gave his first name, said he enjoyed the variety of costumes and "stylish choreography."
"The act I loved most was where the ladies were dressed in green, acting like flowers, and were using orange handkerchiefs spinning around."
Danny said he is a fan of Chinese culture and practices kungfu.
"Many times I also saw moves in the show from kungfu and so I really enjoyed it."
Dirk Slaats who is an envoy for an international Belgium bank also praised the show.
"It was a nice performance. The Mongolian tea bowls were marvelous, great. And the drums of course, I liked the dynamism, the energy of it," he said. Wednesday's evening performance was the last of three in Belgium during the European Divine Performing Arts international tour. The performances were held at the Stadsschouwburg, which translates as city theatre. The show will now continue on to Paris, Switzerland, Austria, Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
