ANTWERP, Belgium—Divine Performing Arts presented its much-acclaimed Chinese Spectacular in Antwerp, Belgium to a full house on Wednesday evening. Among the audience was Laurent Gillis, a manager from Tongeren.
"The show was very beautiful, classical and traditional," he said, "It is like the real China I have in my mind."
Gillis, who learned about the show from an advertisement on a local television station, said he felt the show did an excellent job of illustrating Chinese culture.
"The way of performing, announcing the acts, presenting… I think it was very Chinese."
"I would definitely advise all people who are culturally minded – who are open to other cultures - and all people who are interested in China, to come see the show."
He also enjoyed the colors and the instrumentals.
"The colors, the variation, the dance, I liked it very much," he said, "The erhu and the orchestra were very good."
"I would certainly come back next year if there is another show."
After Antwerp, the Divine Performing Arts tour will continue on to Paris, Switzerland, Austria, Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
