ANTWERP, Belgium—The New York based Divine Performing Arts put on it's renowned Chinese Spectacular in Antwerp, Belgium at the Stadsschouwburg Theatre Wednesday afternoon. Jo DeMaere, a physician, was very impressed with the show.
"In fact I am not so fond of dance and I never go to ballet but to be honest this is really something else!" he said.
"What I noticed is that the performances are at the same time soft and hard. The ladies are almost like dolls, while the men and sometimes the scenery are aggressive."
"It is really wonderful."
DeMaere said he especially enjoyed the two drumming performances and the pieces 'Chopstick Zest' and 'Water Sleeves," describing them as "awesome, just awesome!"
"I also don't have any regret that I could be here. It is really a pity that they will not come back soon."
