ANTWERP, Belgium—A former jet pilot says the Chinese Spectacular really shows the audience the root of Chinese traditions.

Mr. Gambari was at the first show at the Stadsschouwburg Theatre on Tuesday, Feb. 26. He said he especially liked the 'Mongolian Bowl Dance' and found the show very professional.

"It certainly is not the first time they have performed," he said.

Retirees Herman and Lilian Vermere agreed that the show was "wonderful."

"It was a really beautiful show, the costumes were fantastic, and the effects were wonderfully beautiful," Mr. Vermere said.

"I found the first act, where they entered the stage the most beautiful," he said.

Mrs. Vermere found the drums very beautiful, "and the 'Lady of the Moon' was very nice."

"That was very mysterious," she said, because of the fog used as a special effect.

She enjoyed the music too, saying, "I thought that for us western people it might be a bit difficult, but it was very beautiful."

Eduard works in the wholesale food industry. He was also at the show on Tuesday.

"I think the show is fantastic. I find it wonderful the backdrops, the costumes, everything about it ... fantastic," he said.

"Even the venue, the public, everything was perfect."

Waiters Els and Reng-Fo were also very impressed.

"Thus far I found it marvellous, I did not expect that it would be so dynamic and varied, I found it beautiful," Els said, and he "liked the act with the drums, the male energy, very smart."

Reng-Fo also found the show beautiful. "A lot of colours and very beautiful dance, especially the music makes it very spectacular."
