ANTWERP—The Divine Performing Arts production Chinese Spectacular was well received by audience members at its first show in Belgium on Tuesday at the Stadsschouwburg city theatre in Antwerp.

Jo Renier a retired scientist with a doctorate in chemistry said "It was very beautiful, the way [the dancers] moved, the costumes. It is original; it is a different culture, isn't it? The music was very good, especially the drummers…the choreography was very nice, the dancing, the movements."

Peter and Josephina Kerremans, a retired commercial importer/exporter from Antwerp had similar sentiments. "We thought it was very entertaining and we love everything which is Chinese. It is elegant, very acrobatic…the choreography is magnificent, acrobatic also. We could find traditional values in the show, reverting to the past."

Hilda Bosman, a waitress from Antwerp, was very happy about the evening performance, saying "Wonderful! Incredible! Really a wonderful Spectacular . Never saw something beautiful like that! Graceful… colorful. I found it beautiful. I am very happy I came."

"I found everything beautiful, especially the dance with the lotus flower, and I enjoyed the singers. The texts, the backdrops and the costumes; I liked everything," she said when asked her favorite part of the show.
