LONDON—John and Elaine Russell, a retired analyst and a teacher, respectively, sung high praises for the Divine Performing Arts Chinese Spectacular after seeing it Sunday evening at London's Royal Festival Hall.

"We're enjoying it," said Elaine. "And we're just so glad we've come."

John Russell echoed the sentiment, "The dances are wonderful, the costumes are wonderful, and the music, the orchestra—wonderful." The couple were intrigued by parts of the program depicting the persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese communist regime. "I thought it was fair enough to introduce it. They haven't carried it too far—it was quite subtle.

It's nice that they've introduced that element," said Elaine. "They've got a nice variety."

Richard Campbell-Jackson, a retired wine trader involved in commercial and property development, came to see the Spectacular with his wife, a CV writer.

"Excellent, absolutely excellent," she said.

"I've always found Chinese dancing very seductive," said Mrs. Campbell-Jackson, "It's got a dream-like quality. And the way the scenes are depicted, the effect of the water and everything—it's just beautiful."

She continued, "It's a very beautiful production, very exotic. The costumes are very beautiful. And I love the background projections, those are very clever."

Divine Performing Arts continues its European tour throughout February. For information about upcoming Divine Performing Arts shows, please visit:
