LONDON—The final Mehtab Aagah was born in India but moved to England when she was three. She brought her 10-year-old daughter to the show on Sunday to learn more about Chinese culture.
"I really liked the performance with the water waves in particular ("Water Fairies"). I thought that it was such a simple idea but very, very beautifully done," Mrs. Aargah said.
She found the "Risen Lotus Flower", a performance that depicts the persecution of Falun Gong in China, very moving.
"And I was really touched – it brought a tear to my eye – by the scene where the women are in prison and they receive enlightenment afterwards, I thought that was really fantastic".
When asked what she found particularly moving about the scene, she replied: "I'm a woman myself and the central characters were female, and also because they went through pain but then received a higher transcendental kind of spiritualism, and they reached a higher level.
She also enjoyed the "Fruits of Goodness".
"And the act where the two hoodlums receive enlightenment as well, I thought it was really fantastic the way the dancer leapt across the stage, with the wonderful moves that that he was making," she said.
