Music Teacher Says, 'The music was absolutely perfect'

LONDON—Melanie Wilkinson, a music and dance teacher, said about the Chinese Spectacular show at Royal Festival Hall, "I am interested in Chinese culture and have been doing T'ai Chi and qigong. The whole thing was really good and on the level—the dance especially."

For five years, Melanie lived in Macao, an island off Hong Kong. "I just cry when I heard that Erhu music. It makes me homesick".

Annabel was particularly taken by the Divine Performing Arts Orchestra, and the music for the Spectacular.

"We were sitting at the end where the percussion was, and they were brilliant. There was a Western chap and two Chinese, a lady and a man, and they were just walking around each other in this tiny little space and working so hard together and it was just beautiful. Perfect. The music was absolutely perfect," she said.
