LONDON—Barbara, a recruitment consultant, and her boyfriend, Stuart, went to see the fourth and final show of the Chinese Spectacular in London at the Royal Festival Hall on Saturday.
"I thought it was really interesting, the dancing, cultural performances. It looked really colourful. I thought the screen was really interesting, they were using mixed media rather than just what was on the stage," said Barbara.
Barbara particularly liked the erhu numbers by Xiaochun Qi. Also known as the "Chinese violin," the erhu is noted for its haunting sound and wide range of notes.
"I liked that two stringed violin thing, the erhu — that was my favourite."
"I liked the way they moved effortlessly. I was very interested in the music, I was watching the orchestra," said Stuart.
