LONDON—A group of friends from the same church in Westminster appreciated the spiritual content of the Divine Performing Arts Chinese Spectacular which they attended Sunday night at London's Royal festival Theatre.
"I liked the theme of it. Life these days, you really need compassion, kindness and forbearance," Laura said.
Laura attended the show with her friends Kim, Irene, Guan Choo, Laura, Molly and Mary. They were all full of praise for the Spectacular and grateful that it helped them reconnect with their culture.
"You see for us ... because we've been in London 30-40 years we may have lost touch with our Chinese heritage. So this is refreshing us, refreshing our ancestors and things like that. These are our roots. We are from Singapore; our parents came from China to Singapore," Laura explained.
"It's very well staged, the props were very nice, I think it really was very well performed," Laura said.
"We saw one yesterday but [it was] totally different. It was 'China in London,' the Salvation Army one, but this one is more professional, and more graceful, very much more graceful."
