LONDON—A 100-year-old woman who attended the Chinese Spectacular at London's Royal Festival Hall on Saturday afternoon said she was delighted with the show, which played to a full house.
"I thought it was excellent, very beautiful and it was done with such ease, I enjoyed everything about it. The beautiful costumes, their beautiful hands and arms," said Sylvia McMaster after the show.
Looking spry at100 years and three months, McMaster said she worked with students in the clinical welfare department during the war, "and then I went out to Africa to help, and then I worked in America."
At the end of the show, the performers received a standing ovation from the audience.
Ruth Webern, a retired secretary, also said she loved the performance.

"The costumes were glorious, beautiful colours. And I loved the way the scenery was put at the back very beautifully, and a wonderful orchestra and dancers. I very much enjoyed it."
