LONDON—Royal Academy of dance teacher Mr. Fern says he was so impressed by on Saturday evening.

"Oh this is top-class quality show. It is beautiful. I love the costumes, and the background – wonderful," he said.

Mr. Fern said he has done a lot of different forms of dancing.

"But we now can get to see authentic stuff, authentic techniques in dancing."

"Wonderful! I'm so impressed. It's out of this world," he said.

He especially liked the large digital backdrops, "which is most unusual. It's wonderful".

"This is a lovely programme of history and period costumes. And all of this is authentic," he said.

Mr. Fern has been to China twice.

"I was on a boat going down the Yangtze River, the last boat to go through the Gate Sanxia (The Three Gorges) before they closed it."
