THE HAGUE-Having just seen the Chinese Spectacular on Tuesday with her husband, Ann Hoogerhuis appeared again at The Hague World Forum Theatre on Wednesday. "The performance is so beautiful. I was really blown away," she said.

"I was moved by such outstanding Oriental artists. I was also moved by their having the courage to stand up bravely. They deeply touched my heart."

She continued, "I came to watch it yesterday with my husband. I decided to come again today, to show my respect and support to these artists."

During the intermission, she had to go outside and take a deep breath. Today she not only returned to the show once again, but also brought several friends with her.

Ms. Hoogerhuis found the inner meanings of many of the pieces to be quite soul-stirring. Almost all the programs, especially 'Water Sleeves' and Ms. Qi Xiaochun's erhu performance moved her to tears.

When we asked Ann which program was her favorite, she said: "It was that dance in which a young girl practiced the exercises with her mother and they were beaten by the red police."

"It touched my heart. My heart was broken and I could not bear it. I cried. I thought a lot about it later. I have read a lot of information on the persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese communist regime on the internet. That is why I decided to come again."

Hoogerhuis sincerely hopes everyone who has the opportunity to watch the Chinese Spectacular won't miss it. It's her hope that the audience will look deeper into the inner meaning of the performance.
