Mr. and Mrs. Yamakawa who live in the city of Nagoya watched the afternoon show of the Divine Performing Arts Spectacular on February 17. Mrs. Yamakawa said she had never seen such a unique performance before.
The Spectacular is a "very special performance," said Mrs. Yamakawa, "This is the first time for us to see such a large-scale performance. The most impressive program was 'Descent of Celestial Kings.' It took me to another world, the heavenly kingdom. I do not understand Chinese, but I was able to understand the inner meaning of this program with the help of the backdrops."
Mrs. Yamakawa especially liked the erhu. She said: "I love China's history. Chinese songs, music and instrument are rich and diverse. The Spectacular nicely combined the songs and the instruments, making it a gorgeous show. I especially liked the erhu performance. This is the first time I have ever seen a live performance of Erhu by a performer on the stage. It gave me a feeling I had never experienced before."
"Each performer's facial expression and movements are very rich and expressive," she added, "We can tell they must have gone through arduous training for years. The dance 'Fruit of Goodness' tells us even those people who are degenerate can become kind-hearted if they have the kind wish. This is an extremely beautiful culture which will bring to me a beautiful realm."
Mr. and Mrs. Yamakawa both said they had never seen such a performance before. They were very moved. They will definitely bring their children to watch the Spectacular next year.
