OSAKA—During the final day of the Divine Performing Arts Chinese Spectacular in Japan, Kiyoko Miyazaki, said she believes the show brings a positive message to its audience.
"I hope more and more children see this show. The message it has inside is very unique and educating, which I believe children need to know and learn."
She liked the sense of traditional Chinese culture in the show. "I didn't know much about Chinese culture before but when I saw many beautiful songs, story and dancing here I think I begin to admire and love it."
Delighted by the performance of the dancers, she said, "I especially love the dancing. It was very special."
One of the performances she thinks outstanding was the dancing of fans in 'Lightness and Grace'.
"The movement was very gentle and brings about beauty and richness of true culture. It's difficult to say this performance is the best, though, because all of them were very amazing."
In her spare time Ms. Miyazaki likes to see musicals but, "this is the first time I've seen a show like this. They mixed everything together into a completely wonderful show." She often sees erhu [Chinese violin] performances and drumming performances in her local Kansai area, "But this one is just so different. Excellent!" she said.
She said she felt lucky she saw the show. "I passed Osaka station and got a Chinese Spectacular. flier. It was like coincidence, but now I know that I was actually lucky that I got the flier and decided to come here."
As she walked out of the NHK Osaka Hall, she said "I regret I came alone. Next year, I'll bring my friends and colleagues to come to Chinese Spectacular. Thank you!"
