NEW YORK—For a night out on the town in Manhattan, Dr. Ron Paynter chose to attend the Chinese New Year Splendor at Radio City Music Hall. Dr. Paynter is an emergency medical doctor at Winthrop Hospital in Nassau County, New York.
"It was great, I loved it," said Dr. Paynter after seeing the final act of the night. He added that he also learned from the show. "It was very revealing of the Chinese culture, the mentality, and their thinking about certain things, such as fate."
Dr. Paynter appreciated the backdrops that accompanied each act. "The landscapes were very good, very exciting. The visuals were very impressive."
The doctor said that seeing the show was time and money well-spent. "It was good value for the money, a lot of show for the money."
Dr. Paynter's favorite among the performances was the drums. "You get a certain feeling from the drums—a certain sensation from them."
The "Chinese New Year Splendor" continues in New York through Saturday, Feb. 9. For other shows in the Divine Performing Arts world tour, please visit: www.DivinePerformingArts.org.
